PEARLESCENT SHOULDER TO BREATHE UPON
PEARLESCENT SHOULDER TO BREATHE UPON
erupted casket of thirst
the sea has shaped you so
black birds left dangling
mold to source brought forth
bound by the great native fire
of remembrance evermore
rubbing prism instinct
fosters unmentionable words
down neck then over
hovering
breathing
cooing
in anticipation
THEN CASCADE SINGING PSALMS
THEN CASCADE SINGING PSALMS
a deafening desire rides a shallow wave
quietly beating to shore
challenging sand and tide
we sing we chant we call out
while gripping toes fight the lashing current
once familiar

BEECH WIND PAW
BEECH WIND PAW
It is impossible to figure what waters brought you to us
oh what the sea gone done
from the crude action of elements
these stones look like stars
and these stars a distant planet
from our planet
index outcast arms, limbs, a stem, a pinky, a belly
overcast and spinning like charged ions
a course in tidewrack
ash and elm
exhausted after birth

UMBRA
UMBRA
an overture of shadows
almost nearly kindled
lights the spiraling current within
a potion of soft flesh
like virgin pearls
like fair lady fingers
like plush lips
like alternate phases of our many moons
